Wall-mounted Metal Tree Sculpture
Our large metal tree sculptures offer a phenomenal impact on a previously plain wall whilst bringing the option to fundraise through the sale of engraving to leaves attached to the tree structure. We produce the metal tree sculptures entirely bespoke to your location, accommodating anything mounted to the wall itself such as lighting, fire alarms, or windows. The design of the metal tree sculpture will be explored alongside the client to accommodate the desired number of leaf positions where possible to maximize any fundraising revenue that may be required. We find that the cost of the tree sculpture is offset by the number of leaves that can be mounted and when all leaves are sold the fundraising total amounts to many times the cost of the sculpture itself making these highly successful in both aesthetic impact, engaging awareness and encouraging your public to donate. The metal tree sculpture will offer a great source of fundraising engagement and a lasting record of engravings recorded as tribute in memorial, celebration, or dedication.
The Making Process
The tree structure is hand drawn and CNC cut from a flat mild steel plate in-house and then carefully numbered and joining tabs positioned so that the otherwise enormous tree span can be split up into sections for both ease of forging, transport, and installation handling. Each piece is then forged by hand and using power hammers in our blacksmith forge to create the tactile and light-catching surface texture to imitate bark. Each piece is carefully considered at its join so that the forged work blends across the neighbouring panels when fitted together this is a time-consuming and skilled process that results in an impressive and cohesive piece after installation. The metal tree sculpture sections are then transported for galvanising, on their return they are carefully fettled to remove any sharp debris from this process and drilled and prepared for the fitting of the leaves in carefully mounted bespoke fixings hidden on the reverse of the tree branches. At installation of the metal tree sculpture, the leaves are secured with grub screws in our bespoke made fittings of donations pre-gathered and over time by the organisation itself.
Donor Trees Fundraising Potential
Our tree sculptures are sometimes referred to as donor trees, fundraising trees, or charity sculptural trees and provide an opportunity to engage with donors in a creative and meaningful way. Metal tree sculptures are ideal for charities, museums, schools, hospices, and other organisations that require self-sourcing funding opportunities please get in touch so we can explore this opportunity with you in the design and production of a unique sculptural piece that will offer a piece of theatre in its given location and exciting way to engage with potential donors. Available in any size our bespoke metal tree sculptures are suitable to be mounted inside or outside. We can offer the leaves in a multitude of colours or shapes to best suit your organisation. The leaves are hand produced, formed, and hammered in aluminium which is then anodized to achieve its coloured surface. It is this difference in surface colour to the underlying aluminium when engraved that gives a contrast between the leaf surface and the wording engraved
